OUR STORY
I’m a father, and WeSpeak2 began because I wanted to help my son. I watched him work to find his words, and I wanted him to have somewhere he could practice without feeling rushed or judged. I wanted every attempt to count.
As we worked together, my son began talking more and finding the confidence to ask for things on his own. His progress made me think about the families still searching for a place to start. My son wasn’t the only child who deserved someone to believe in him.
That is why I’m building WeSpeak2: calm, guided practice that makes room for children to hear, try, celebrate, and keep going. Parents, teachers, and speech-language pathologists all have a part to play in supporting a child’s communication. The goal is to help them work together, one step at a time.
I didn’t begin this because I saw a business opportunity. I began with a promise to my son, and the hope that what helps him might help another child and another family. I want him to know his dad built this to help others.
